duties and responsibilities

Inspecting and sub-assembling materials and articles to specified standards.

Reading and understanding blueprints or work order specifications, whether written, illustrated, or oral, to determine layout and installation procedures.

Trimming joints and fitting parts and subassemblies together to form a complete unit using glue and clamps and reinforcing joints using nails, screws, or other fasteners

Sanding wooden surfaces and applying veneer, stain, or polish to finished products

Operating woodworking machines and using hand tools to cut, shape, and form parts and components.

Installing, repairing, and servicing prefabricated cabinetry, cupboards, and vanities using hand and power tools.

Measuring and marking guidelines to be used for installations.

Ensuring that the work is completed to the standard set by the customer, project manager, or contractor.
Job Requirements

2 years of experience in cabinet making.
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Trade Certification
-
Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
